WNN correspondent Shuriah Niazi based in the Madhya Pradesh of central India receives an international 2011 Resource Group for Education and Advocacy for Community Health (REACH) and Eli Lilly sponsored award for outstanding reach journalism covering Tuberculosis and India’s mining widows. “Media can play a very important role, and my focus for 2011 will be the mining communities and Saharia tribes in the rural pockets of Madhya Pradesh,” said Niazi.
