So you’re a victim of the gender pay gap; earning, on average 16 per cent less than the bloke sat next to you (all the more reason to pinch his chocolate bar).

That’s why Grazia magazine has launched the #whatimworth campaign; demanding an end to the pay gap. They’ve started a petition calling for a piece of legislation – Section 78 of the Equality Act 2010 – to be enforced. It requires any employer with more than 250 staff to publish, annually, the details of what their male and female employees earn hourly.

So sign your name, tweet using the hashtag #whatimworth and do your bit to get the law changed. But, in the meantime, there are things you can do to improve your personal pay packet . . .
